![]() ![]() ![]() Zombies, demons, and other nasty stuff aren’t supposed to chase down humanity. Aqua Teen Hunger Force Zombie Ninja Pro-Am (2007)īloodrayne takes the 5th spot in this list of the best zombie games for PS2, a classic title that many of you might have played repeatedly on the GameCube too. I’m not going to say anything more than that – get this game and work through it. The usual R.E themes apply kill, run, kill, repeat.Įverything feels so familiar yet new and fresh, and the storyline is perfection. ![]() In a kind of ‘2-4-1’ deal, gamers get to play as both characters, swapping between the two areas, a little like the last two LOTR books. Take control of Claire and Chris Redfield, working between a research facility and a remote prison.Ĭan you think of two more horrible settings to be fighting zombies in? We’re talking 3D environments for the very first time in an R.E game, all with new camera angles that helped to make the game much scarier than its predecessors. This game didn’t actually debut on PlayStation consoles, but once it came to the fold, it was a rip-roaring success. More carnage, more zombies, same old epic gameplay. Resident Evil: Code Veronica X remains one of the most exciting zombie games in existence, following on from Resident Evil 2 and 3. You might have seen the next title in our list from our list of the best Dreamcast games of all time. It’s one of the scariest titles out there though, so do yourself a favour and give it a try. Siren has basically been forgotten in favour of Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Hearing the dithering Shibito howling and watching as they attack other humans is so frightening. Honestly, we spend most of our lives playing as characters running away from zombies, that when it comes to playing as one the experience is super freaky. The main premise of Siren sees players projecting themselves into zombie creatures, an ability called ‘sight jacking’. ![]() Who wouldn’t want to play as a zombie? My mind is blown! I don’t know why though… a game where you play as zombie-like bad guys is always going to provide a terrifying experience, right? This underrated game didn’t make much of an impact with PS2 owners back in the day, meaning it’s been a bit of a slow burn since its release in 2003. Going to the large statue will remove the blood frenzy and also recover any lost health.Siren is one of the games in this list that some of you might not have heard of. Additionally each level will contain a large statue. To recover from a blood frenzy, the player must use statue items, which are dropped by dead enemies. This gives the character an increase in attack power, but drains health. Once the meter is full, the character will go into a "blood frenzy". As a character kills enemies, this meter starts to fill. In addition, there is also the "Blood Lust" meter. To prevent this, players must actively clean off their sword to keep the blood meter from filling up. This is represented by a "Blood Meter" showing how dirty the weapon is. The player-character's weapon becomes progressively covered in blood, causing their attacks to be slower and to inflict less damage, even getting stuck in enemies if it gets too bad. Players guide their characters through the stages, completing tasks while fighting through enemies.
